Symposium on New developments in TDM
The development and implementation of
rational, evidence-based approaches for the monitoring of medicinal therapies
belong to the agenda of Clinical Pharmacology. The principles and challenges of
therapeutic monitoring in the broad sense will be reviewed during this session.
Further emphasis will be put on the monitoring of circulating drug
concentrations, illustrated with the particular case of novel anticancer agents
among other candidates to target drug concentration-triggered interventions.
Recent developments will be presented and discussed in view of current needs
for patients to benefit from the best possible dosage adjustment for drug treatments.
